it was the time i hanged out with my tiny Apple smartphone and then mom's old Samsung, taking side-view photos of EVERY PRETTY CAR i found during my courier journey. later i used it as reference for making pixel-art for the autobiographical video-game i had in mind. i would register my days of courier, the days i intended to cycle down South America and the days i would taught myself how to climb. it was meant to be a 2D side-scroll, really simple and edging more an interactive story-telling app than a video-game although i had some ideas for gear changing and managing status like stamina and sleep and hunger. i was learning Esperanto and i had this extra bag from my courier company, which was actually a prototype. i would say depending on the type of deliver, it was quite good. nowhere the experience of hanging out with mountain backpack but at least i didn't had to subject my stuff to endless possibilities of some sauce escaping fragile packages. it didn't lasted long. some months and it had too much stuff un-sewing. i went into this abandoned quarry, really close to my house. once i invited a Tinder girl there as our first date. she stop answering me and soon unmatched. probably thought i was some type of maniac but i already had the ingredients to make a mousse with cooked apples and chocolate and some yet to be tried brownie recipe with buckwheat flour. mind you if there aren't courageous women there. once i managed to match with a girl at a Friday night and we got the last bus in the same day to the nearby mountain and we spent the whole night talking among the rocks till the sunrise. the quarry has some cool buildings to picnic. i went to this empty concrete pipe. started filming with a tripod. came from the right side of the frame (wind was from right to left), stopped my bicycle, de-attached my courier bag, took the gallon inside, put my bag on the pipe, put diesel from the gallon there, burned it down while i looked at the camera and after some seconds i retrieved this paper from my pocket and i start reading this almost 2 minute long manifesto on what it felt to be a proletariat and some critique to the bourgeois. i didn't had enough Esperanto training so i read as i thought it would sound. i would then reduce the video to 8-12 fps and pixel-art every frame, as i did to some footage as experimentation. it would be part of the video-game. i wish i had it. i never worked on that (gladly), as the content was deleted in one of my revolutions where i never tried to forget or thought i would change by deleting things but rather a inner realization of "i changed and i should let the past stay on the past". some day i have to revisit that quarry with my camera. i have no idea if it's yet abandoned. years ago i knew they used part of the water that flooded it to something else i can't recall the purpose. i bet the concrete pipe is still there
