"the cat is out of the box and it's here to stay", typed the average, unethical human being of the 21° century. they were right (but without them, it wouldn't). machine learning was a thing for decades before these LLMs started to poke around. if i use? heck no but after a (very personal) conversation with someone which had to go to my country to lecture about AI workflows on patology research i decided to try it. Google Gemini was a complete hallucination on the 2 problems i threw at. i'm definitely an early intermediate level self-taught programmer, if not a beginner. i'm building a musical tracker with Godot and godot-csound. i gave (Google) my entire script and asked if they could solve a problem which i could get down in 26 minutes and the other at the 56 mark

now i wonder if i described the way i would do it but then, what's the point of contribute to a company that explicitly violates the Berne agreement and on top of that, sells for a price that can get as high as a minimum salary of a working class brazilian. it's a shame Americans went too deep into astrying from violence for solving social injustices. generative AI from OpenAI, Google etc. is another clear sign on the abuse of the elite into the proletariat. if you think burning a house of someone with monetary (money doesn't buy everything and there's a clear (scientific) threshold on how it doesn't effect satisfaction but saying that living pay after pay or worrying about economical recessions that will put your family at the hunger line in some months compared to an unhappy white collar is quite naive) power to live a luxury life times 15 or 525 if they just stop working an injustice, i wonder if your pacifist dialogue would hold out if you live near a server that's sucking water and electricity at an alarming rate that makes your toilet and sink dry. or if you (if that actually ever happen) live among multiple jobs because your art isn't enough and now it's nothing because someone trained their multi-billion, rare mineral computer on your stuff, without any remuneration and the moment they start to add paid libraries or frameworks from their partnerships ads. into programming output, that's the moment we go burn their houses or simply move to local, user-hosted AI that doesn't communicates to any server, if actually companies selling these required expensive hardware are fighting for erradicating problems of slavery and sustainability on their production chain. the free tier of Google rendered me pretty nice Emacs scripts. guess literature on Lisp is around for long. but i already had the foundation setting regexp stuff into columns (what a freaking alien paradigm to parse language, i suffered) (you can check my 1° commit where i didn't had any AI logic on it): csound-score-emacs

the takeaway 🚀👻
  - stick with free tiers if you think AI helps you but never, ever, help financially companies exploiting copyright just because of their power, which aims to centralize, control and sell our knowledge
  - don't make paid products or paid services if you use them, it's not because the rich do, that you also should
